Sorrento has many wonderful restaurants, but deciding on where to eat can be tricky!
Over the last four months, I’ve tried numerous restaurants and discovered some of my favorites. Most of them serve excellent Italian food, which is, of course, what Sorrento is known for. I may be a bit biased since I spent most of my time here, but I think Sorrento has some of the best food out of all the places I have visited. I've never had a bad meal or poor experience, and have always left the restaurants completely satisfied.
Here is a short restaurant guide to some of the best restaurants I’ve visited in Sorrento:
La Cantinaccia Del Popolo had some of the best food I've ever eaten. We arrived as soon as the restaurant opened for dinner and had to wait almost an hour in line. It's a super popular restaurant, but also a hidden gem because it's a 25-minute walk from the main part of Sorrento. They bring out cheese and wine while you wait in line, and it is worth the wait. They have a wonderful menu that includes everything from pasta dishes to meat dishes and it is all delicious. My favorite things to order are the Burrata appetizer with fresh tomatoes and arugula and the Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina. The burrata was one of the best things I've ever eaten, the tomatoes were incredible, and the flavors paired so well with one another.

Cafe Latino is a pizzeria on Corso Italia. It has an extensive menu, but my favorite thing to order there is the pizza. The restaurant is partly indoors and partly outdoors and you're in a lemon garden. It's a beautiful restaurant and the aesthetic makes it stunning. They have my favorite margarita pizza and it's cooked perfectly every time. They also have other amazing food like the ravioli caprese, but I mainly go for the pizza!

Casa Tua is one of the most highly-ranked restaurants in Sorrento on TheFork and has 5 stars on TripAdvisor. It's a newer restaurant, but the food is incredible. It’s not your traditional Italian courses, but everything they have is delicious. I've been many times and loved everything I ordered. My favorite dishes are the ravioli caprese, linguine with yellow tomatoes and prawns, and the chocolate profiteroles for dessert. This is the perfect place to eat if you want a new twist on Italian food.

Although there are many good spots for gelato in Sorrento, my favorite is Raki. They have an extensive menu with many delicious options. My favorites are mango and orange, salted caramel, tiramisu, and cherries and cream. If you're coming to Sorrento and you're craving a sweet treat, Raki is a must-visit!
